a good sport

i haven’t invested in too many sporty pieces, but here i’ve added a taste of the popular trend.  the faux leather leggings and the zipper booties add elements of sport to this look and really transitions this look from summer to fall.  this summery top contrasts well with these very “heavy” bottom pieces.  with lightweight blazer, i have a new look for fall.  (since i’m crazy about blazers, it’s no surprise i added one here!)  with these transitional pieces,  i promise to be a good sport once fall is truly here.  i’m looking forward to a change of weather:) trust me!

labor of love

happy labor day!  whether laboring for love, family, purpose, reward or a combination thereof, today is a day to relax and take some “me” time. thankfully, the modern worker bee no longer has to succumb to traditional suiting and mundane colors.  here, i love these playful colors and prints.  the giraffe microprint on this blouse is “too-die-for.”  while i’m always serious about my work, i like to wear easy-going, happy clothing.  hopefully, it’s a reflection of my positive attitude and labor of love.  have a good one!

to the point

i love the reemergence of the pointed-toe pump.  it is so refined, captivating yet always classic.  i found these red pumps from zara and with this dress, i feel it’s the perfect shoe! i’ve had this dress for awhile and always felt i didn’t have the right pump for it.  this bright heel is the perfect accompaniment; especially with a busy blazer, this look is well-balanced and to the point.
