winter garden

top and heels <zara>, trousers <h&m>, bag <botkier>, bracelets <variety>

who knew florals could be wearable in the cold fall and winter months.  traditionally they are a spring and summer pattern.  with this season’s trends including dark floral prints, these trousers are perfect for an evening out.  with a small structured bag and pointed pumps, i feel well coordinated for an evening out.

to the point

i love the reemergence of the pointed-toe pump.  it is so refined, captivating yet always classic.  i found these red pumps from zara and with this dress, i feel it’s the perfect shoe! i’ve had this dress for awhile and always felt i didn’t have the right pump for it.  this bright heel is the perfect accompaniment; especially with a busy blazer, this look is well-balanced and to the point.

hello central park!  i had the most fantastic trip navigating the streets of new york city, enjoying fine dining and catching up with old friends.  one afternoon, we ventured to central park for a little break from the big city.  we had a lovely lunch at robert, an uber contemporary eatery with sweeping views of the city and central park. it was incredible!  i wanted to look casual enough to be in the park, but dressy enough to drink sparkling wine.  by wearing my go-to gladiator sandals, i kept the look casual (and made walking much easier).  to add a bit of formality, i wore a blazer (have i mentioned zara has the BEST blazers?).  this is my favorite day bag. since it is made of patent leather, it can easily be cleaned (a must for travel).  i can pretty much use it day or night, which is great when traveling.  with a lovely lunch and wonderful city, it was a perfect day!
