pitch perfect

sweater <sparkle and fade>, jeans <hudson>, flats <yosi samra>, scarf <echo>, bag <kate spade>, bracelet <variety>

fall is in the air. the leaves are changing colors and falling.  we can officially wear sweaters!  at least in Omaha i did.  an oversized sweater and cozy scarf were the perfect accompaniments to these tuxedo style pants (my sister-in-law tipped me off to a great deal on these pants…even better).  on a chilly day, pizza is just one of those must-have, heart-warming foods. and, when in Omaha, Pitch Pizzeria is the best place to venture to get just that.  the shroom pizza was the perfect accommodation with its truffle cheese and roasted mushrooms (yum). it was simply pitch perfect.

classic elements

dress <matthew williamson for impulse>, jacket <cynthia rowley>, pumps <poetic license>, belt <anthropologie>, tights <banana republic>, clutch <betsey johnson>

there’s nothing more classic than seamed tights and a tweed jacket.  they were fitting touches on a crisp, cold eve.  the frills and modified leopard print on this dress are exciting and a little young.  By adding a few classic elements like the jacket and tights, this dress become a bit more refined and sophisticated…just perfect for a friend’s fall wedding!

strawberry fields

dress <french connection>, heels <miu miu>, clutch <banana republic>, belt <vintage>, ring <amrita singh>, bracelets <anthropologie and vintage>

more lace, i know!  i can’t get enough of this season’s take on lace.  last year, michelle williams wore a similar dress designed by Erdem (see it here).  i especially love this “strawberry” color. this belt is truly vintage, borrowed from my mother’s closet.  i adore it!  since i love strawberries, in every way (from color to taste), this was a fitting find!
