eat a cupcake

there’s no better way to celebrate a birthday than with a nice lunch out {with a glass of bubbly} followed by cake {better yet, a cupcake}. this past weekend i celebrated my 27th birthday with family in omaha, ne.  i think i will always be 25 at heart {at least that’s what i always mistakenly enter on the elliptical at the gym}.  anyways, here’s to another year of fashion, travel, dining, and cupcakes!

a touch of gold

top <vs sport>, skirt <j.crew>, sandals <sam edelman>, bag <antik batik>, necklace <gifted>, bracelets <ann taylor, the limited, anthropologie>, ring <amrita singh>

when traveling, it’s best to pack basics.  here you’ll see a few basics i always pack on trips.  i absolutely love this tank and pack it for every trip i take.  i can wear it working out, with cute skirts and layered under all types of tops.  also, these sandals are a closet staple.  these sandals can be worn with nearly everything.  i’ve learned to pack many gold accessories as gold with everything!  a touch of gold adds a little fanciness:)  last night, i met family for dinner and drinks in omaha, ne.  i even found a new friend while roaming the downtown streets!

little white dress

dress <lush>, wedges <bucco>, clutch <betsey johnson>, necklace <j.crew>, bracelet <anthropologie>, rings <banana republic and boutique find>, sunnies <diane von furstenberg>

this look is all about the details.  a little white dress can be so beautiful by itself, but can also be easily accessorized given it’s simplicity.  the eyelet details in the dress pairs perfectly with the architecture of this statement necklace.  likewise, the design on the wedges couples well with the clutch’s pattern.  since this look is somewhat romantic, i added a couple swept-back braids.  this look is perfect for a sunday brunch.
