layer, tie or button your chambray shirt to transition it from a day at work, to lunch with friends and then a night out in the city. first, i layered the chambray shirt under a blazer adding a professional touch for a day at work. then, for lunch with friends, i wrapped my chambray shirt over a lace dress and added wedges to make the look feel more casual. since tying button-up shirts are back in style (welcome to the 1990s), this shirt plays a simple role as a lightweight sweater. finally, for a night out on the town, i tucked in my shirt into a bright, tulip skirt and added some hot, strappy heels and flashy bracelets. i love the chambray shirt! singin’ in the rain

top <jcrew>, skirt <lily white>, rainboots <missoni for target>, belt <jasper & jeera>, umbrella <espirit>
it’s just another rainy day. i can’t tell you how many flats and wedges i’ve ruined on a rainy day here in oklahoma city. it’s usually not just a sprinkle, but torrential downpour, so rainboots are a must! formerly living in california, i never knew a rubber boot would be vital, but it is here. it was perfect that missoni collaborated with target last fall to put forth a eye-catching collection, well in demand by the public. it was such a popular collection shelves cleared within minutes of opening. i wanted these rainboots so badly, i called relatives in nebraska to pick them up for me, knowing missoni is not as hot in demand there. coupled with brights, these rainboots are the perfect accessory. add a pop of yellow and you’ll forget it’s so gloomy outside!
