classic elements

dress <matthew williamson for impulse>, jacket <cynthia rowley>, pumps <poetic license>, belt <anthropologie>, tights <banana republic>, clutch <betsey johnson>

there’s nothing more classic than seamed tights and a tweed jacket.  they were fitting touches on a crisp, cold eve.  the frills and modified leopard print on this dress are exciting and a little young.  By adding a few classic elements like the jacket and tights, this dress become a bit more refined and sophisticated…just perfect for a friend’s fall wedding!

strawberry fields

dress <french connection>, heels <miu miu>, clutch <banana republic>, belt <vintage>, ring <amrita singh>, bracelets <anthropologie and vintage>

more lace, i know!  i can’t get enough of this season’s take on lace.  last year, michelle williams wore a similar dress designed by Erdem (see it here).  i especially love this “strawberry” color. this belt is truly vintage, borrowed from my mother’s closet.  i adore it!  since i love strawberries, in every way (from color to taste), this was a fitting find!

watercolors

top <the addison story>, sweater <moth>, shorts <rachel rachel roy>, booties <chloe>, bag <kate spade>, necklace <amrita singh>, watch <michael kors>, bracelet <variety>, ring <banana republic>

i love the look of color mixing.  what better way to mix colors, than with watercolors?  reminding me a bit of my childhood days (often in an apron, with cups of water and a couple of Crayola watercolor palettes), i usually thought i was creating a masterpiece of art.  now, i’ve turned to clothing to be creative; a bit more of an expensive venture;) with the hype of printed jeans, these shorts are the perfect substitute considering the heat wave we received last week.  just reminiscing of my childhood days with watercolor paints and hoping for cooler weather….
