take a walk on the casual side with a long skirt. wearing a long skirt is an easy way to stay cool and casual, but still look put together.  for me, this long skirt is as casual as a pair of denim shots (and actually a little more comfortable).  still i receive compliments as to how “dressed” up i am!  the striped pattern pairs perfectly with a solid, bright top.  this skirt will be wonderful for fall, paired with booties and a chunky sweater.  this was my last day in omaha in the old market passageway (a nice escape from the outdoor heat).  downtown omaha is gorgeous with old brick architecture and vibrant landscaping.  next stop, new york.  here i come!

there’s no better way to celebrate a birthday than with a nice lunch out {with a glass of bubbly} followed by cake {better yet, a cupcake}. this past weekend i celebrated my 27th birthday with family in omaha, ne.  i think i will always be 25 at heart {at least that’s what i always mistakenly enter on the elliptical at the gym}.  anyways, here’s to another year of fashion, travel, dining, and cupcakes!

a touch of gold

when traveling, it’s best to pack basics.  here you’ll see a few basics i always pack on trips.  i absolutely love this tank and pack it for every trip i take.  i can wear it working out, with cute skirts and layered under all types of tops.  also, these sandals are a closet staple.  these sandals can be worn with nearly everything.  i’ve learned to pack many gold accessories as gold with everything!  a touch of gold adds a little fanciness:)  last night, i met family for dinner and drinks in omaha, ne.  i even found a new friend while roaming the downtown streets!
