park perfect

jacket <zara>, top <blue rain>, pants <zara>, bag <kate spade>, sandals <sam edelman>, necklace <j.crew>, watch <michael kors>, ring <ann taylor loft>

hello central park!  i had the most fantastic trip navigating the streets of new york city, enjoying fine dining and catching up with old friends.  one afternoon, we ventured to central park for a little break from the big city.  we had a lovely lunch at robert, an uber contemporary eatery with sweeping views of the city and central park. it was incredible!  i wanted to look casual enough to be in the park, but dressy enough to drink sparkling wine.  by wearing my go-to gladiator sandals, i kept the look casual (and made walking much easier).  to add a bit of formality, i wore a blazer (have i mentioned zara has the BEST blazers?).  this is my favorite day bag. since it is made of patent leather, it can easily be cleaned (a must for travel).  i can pretty much use it day or night, which is great when traveling.  with a lovely lunch and wonderful city, it was a perfect day!

city shimmer

dress <three floor>, heels <bcbg>, clutch <banana republic>, ring <ann taylor loft>, jewelry <gifted variety>

this dress is one-of-a-kind.  the designer, three floor, has been named “new designer to watch” by the one-and-only Vogue,  and it’s easy to see why.  this dress is edgy, modern and chic.  the detailing on this dress is quite exquisite and stays true to fall’s trends.  the embellished peter pan color, metallic shimmer, and see-through detailing makes this piece my go-to dress for fall evenings.  i wore this dress for dinner at The NoMad Hotel in New York City.  it’s shimmer was perfect for big city dining!

green goddess

top (dress) <american apparel>, skirt <h&m>, heels <bcbgeneration>, clutch <target>, bracelet <antique>, ring <banana republic>

this top is really a dress.  it’s quite tight and form fitting, so i actually prefer to wear it with skirts.  i love the low cut back (it makes me feel like a dainty ballerina).  the kelly green color of this h&m skirt is one my favorites!  it is such a beautiful color with its rich hue.  whenever i find a piece in this color, i gravitate to it.  here, i kept the heels simple and added a pop of color with my clutch (i found this clutch at target years ago. this is actually the first time I’ve used it).  i have to say while i love the intricacy and quality of designer masterpieces, i still am able to find enjoyment in the use of cheap finds.  even in this cost conscious number, i feel like a goddess!
