what can i say, i’m in a funk! this look certainly portrays my post new year’s lull:) i found this dress and fell in love with it’s vibrant colors and pattern. i’ve been a huge fan of long-sleeved dresses this season. out shopping i found, these tights. the cashier asked if i realized they were mint green (a lot of people assume they are skin tone, the package being a little misleading). i was looking for a funky pair, so this off color was perfect. happy, funky monday!

it’s beginning to feel a lot like winter. cold, windy and a bit miserable. luckily, faux fur jackets are with us for another season. i couldn’t live without my collection of wild faux furs (more to come in future posts). these make my winter blues a little bit better and a little more wild. they are a good reason for a cold winter. for this look, i kept my hair swept up in a bun as the jacket provides just enough flounce. since i’m a huge fan of high boots, these gray pair are perfect and offsets the other colors a bit. even though flat, they still appear dressy. my only hope is – no one reports a bigfoot sighting.

this dress has transcended several years. and, every year in the fall i make an effort to wear this dress for a special occasion. it’s perfect for a fall wedding or holiday party. the gold detailing and cascading skirt is so romantic. i thought this embellished headband would add some extra romance! while technically it’s still autumn (some days it feels more wintry), this dress has become part of my perfect fall attire.
